Ranjangaon, Siddhatek & Palasdev & SAIRAT Bike expedition (22 & 23 May 2016)

Sairat!

A movie which attracted people in sense of all, drama, comedy, love, sacrifice. All credits goes to Mr. Naagraj Munjule, who built a strong love story.

Every person, who saw this movie was just in love with its characters, scenes, dialogues, etc. Everyone wants to see & meet these celebrities. As a photographer, I decided to meet the scenes used in the movie. As this journey was also to lead under Maharashtra Daura, I decided to visit Palasdev Temple & two Ashatavinayak Ganapati of Ranjangaon & Siddhatek.

DAY 1:

The journey begun on 22nd May 2016 at 5:30 AM, sharp from my home Badlapur. This was planned as a single man bike trail. I was alone riding the whole way long. I started the tour, passed through Neral, Karjat, Mahd & reached Lonavala-Khandala at 7 AM. I started captures with my Canon. The view point of Khandala, Monkey clicks at MBT road view point, etc were my capture scenes. Further I continued on Mumbai Pune old highway till Vadgaon. The hard left from Vadgaon leaded me straight to Ranjangaon at 9:20 AM Via Kalumbre, Chakan and Shikrapur.

Rajangaon’s Mahaganapati Temple is one of the Ashtavinayak Ganesha. The Temple is lined along the higway. I captured the entry gate & oved further in Darshan line. The line was very lengthy. It was definitely to consume almost one hour in the line itself. Waiting for long 45 minutes, I visited to Lord Mahaganapati & Prayed from heart. Later I moved out of temple and had a quick breakfast. I again tied my luggage back to bike & departed from Ranjangaon at 10:50 AM.

The further route was a right from Ranjangaon MIDC, passing Nhavare, Nivri, & Kashti leading to Siddhatek at 12:30 PM. En route I captured few clicks. Siddhatek houses Temple of Siddhivinayak Ganapati, one amongst Ashtavinayak. The darshan here in was in 10-15 minutes. After darshan I captured few clicks of the temple. I carried with my lunch there itself. I departed from Siddhatek at 1:30 PM. Now I started ranging towards Palasdev, via devulgaon till Ravangaon. Here, it was the joining to Mumbai-Solapur highway. The highway ride begun, soon Bhigwan arrived, there by starting the limits of Ujjaini Dam. The dam has lost its water level. The heat is destroying there byb local mankind. It was 16 for palasdev, I had a quick photoshoot with bike. 2 km prior to Palasdev, a exit turn comes for Kalewadi. This kalewadi road will lead you straight to Palasdev Temple with your Vehicles. This year’s dry weather has knocked out 80% of the Ujjaini dam which makes it a wetland plateau on which you can drive. Driving or riding on a dried wetland is too bouncy & pebble smashing ride which examines your vehicle’s shock-absorber as worst as it can. I captured many scenes before reaching Palasdev Temple.

I reached Palasdev Temple at 4 PM. The temple lies on the wetland plateau on dam Ujjaini, only its tip is all time visible. But, after 32 years we are sighting this temple again at its whole because of the dry weather – DUSKAAL. I firstly admired the whole temple very neatly so as to capture the clicks with proper angles. The shrine of Paladev temple is been shifted to another temple long time ago, the temple only holds a stand to visit it because of its extraordinary stone built.

I waited there for more than three hours, captured sunset scenes at last & also while departing from there at 7:20 PM, capture few bike clicks white blood red pilot lamps. Now it was about tomorrow that I wanted to see the Inamdar wada of Kugaon, view from kalashi. I was expecting a stay near-by to it but got a stay long in Indapur (19kms from Kalashi coast). It was 10 PM, I stepped out of my stay & had my dinner near-by, came back to stay and laid down my heavy brain to deep sleep.

DAY 2:

Thanks to my mobile alarm that it got me up at 4 AM, I got ready in a hurry & left the stay at 4:30 AM. Came at the parking area & was shocked to see that the bag tying rope was not present tied to my bike (I left the rope to bike itself last night). This was a very serious thing to me because today I was going to do distant sightseeing and reach home by carrying my heavy bag on my back.

Forgetting all these condition, I rided my bike hard till the turn for Warkute village and from there I rided till Kalashi coast. The Inamdar wada holded its beauty in the water. I also sighted the sunrise over there. I dint got the click alike shown in the SAIRAT movie because variating seasons causes sunrise/sunset sight shifting.

I clicked many snaps of nature, Inadmar Wada, Sunrise, Fish catching, nets, coasts, birds, etc. I came and sat down near a region to the coast where a boat was tied. According to the sayings of local people this was the Boat used in SAIRAT movie from which Parshya jumps in water (start of song ‘Yad Laagla’). I waited there till 8:30 AM, few people arrived for crossing the dam water from Kalashi coast to Kugaon. I was also waiting for the same. Further I loaded my Bike into the boat and crossed the water region and reached Kugaon Coast. It was around 9 till reach Kugaon. While in the boat irself, I clicked some snaps of Inamdar Wada.

Further I continued till jeur with a wrecked road, from there took a left turn & crossed 16 Km to reach Deovali village, this village holds to be the sight hodling the Well which is used in the SAIRAT Movie. Clicked some snaps there with the angles used in the movie. I met a group of visitors there who told me that the Archi’s House used in the Movie in located in the Kandar village 34 km back(away route from Mumbai). I took a think for little, and decided to visit it. I crossed these 34 kms in 40 minutes there by reaching Kandar village. Searching & asking many people, I finally reached o this beautiful stone stay. I met Mr. Bhaskar Bhange (Owner of this house), asked his permissions to shoot his house from exterior. Later, I had a few talks with him. According to his talks, I came to know that his house was hired for 22 days for shooting around and in it, also for the beats of Zingat song. I also took a pic with Mr. Bhange, and he also said that he too have worked in SAIRAT with his family, the scene when guest comes & visit the home to see archana for marriage, those all guest are the actual owners on this bungalow.

I also clicked few snaps where the cars run between the farms, as shown in the SAIRAT movie. Later I traced back the same route till Deovali village, took a hold there for delicious lunch.

I concluded my lunch & it was 1 PM now, I decided to roar via Karmala-Bhigwan-Kurkumbh-Hadapsar-Pune-lonavala-Karjat-Badlapur. It was perfect 300 kms ride, Sun was dripping was will power but I ride by heart. Started riding my ride to its fullest, soon Karmala arrived from where I took a left staright to Bhigwan. There by riding in a pure deserted area, I cracked Bhigwan at 2:30 PM. From Bhigwan, I joined the mega highway - MUMBAI SOLAPUR highway, I rode it straight till Pune. Making some usual turns I caught the same route I used while return journey During my Konakan daura. So leaving these all conditions behind, I left Pune at 5 PM.

Flying the road for 73 Kms from Pune, I knocked Khandala MBT road view at 6:30 PM. I had a light breakfast there by. Enroute from post lunch till now, I tasted lemon juice & tea many times to feel out of drowsiness & keep my brain awake of sleep. After breakfast, I visited the same MBT road scene, mokeys jumping here & there. The scenario gave me some healthy clicks. Later I moved furher for 200 mts, Sunset Point of Khandala arrived, also a scene of multiple lanes of Mumbai-Pune Expressway & old highway overlapping each other. I too some initial sunset motions and departed from Khandala at 7:10 PM.

The further ride was a known road travel from khandala, I exited down towards via Khopoli out & continued till Mahd. There by taking a right turn I knocked Karjat at 7:50 PM. Made a fuel top up, & roared my ride as hard as I can till Badlapur, reaching my home at 8:40 PM.

Here comes an end of one more enthusiastic Bike Trail. I always learn many new things on my each experience, such few things I learnt about wetlands & deserted region of Maharashtra.

Also very Thankful to Sir Mr.Nagraj Manjule, to present Maharahstra such a movie which was never imagined. Really, It was a SAIRAT BIKE RIDE.
Below is the Photo Gallery of enormously clicked snaps during this 2 days short trail making my Maharashtra Daura increase its success limits !!!
